Trex® Community Recycling Challenge
We have exciting news to share: we’ve officially reached our 1,000-lb goal for the Trex Recycling Challenge - and we did it more than three months ahead of schedule. This is an incredible accomplishment, and it’s entirely thanks to your participation and commitment.
Because we’ve hit our goal, we will now transition our neighborhood drop-off process to local store collection points. Going forward, please take your clean, soft, stretchable plastic directly to the drop-off bins located at the front of Albertsons and Kroger, where plastic grocery bags are collected. Larger collections that don’t fit in the bins can be placed at the side of the bins. Our local grocery stores earn money through Trex for collecting this plastic!
We also want to sincerely thank everyone who helped make this possible. Your efforts not only kept a huge amount of plastic out of landfills, but also earned Little Forest Hills a Trex neighborhood bench as a reward. We’ll share more details about the bench as soon as we receive them.
This has been a true community effort, and we’re so grateful for the care and consistency you’ve shown. Thank you for helping Little Forest Hills lead by example in sustainability.
